Introduction — A Glorious Journey Awaits
Speaker 1There's a glorious journey waiting for you. An ancient pathway designed to take you deeper into God more than ever before. It's not just a journey of faith, it's a journey that changes who you become and empowers you to rise up glorious in the fullness of Christ. And once you discover it, you'll never see your life the same again. Welcome back to the Shekinah Today podcast. We're your hosts Darrel and Cindy deVille.
Speaker 2Welcome everyone. This is Cindy, and it is so good to be back with you. Yes. And we have a lot to share today, don't we? Let's go do the great one. As we continue to walk through our new book, Rise of the Glorious Church. The last episode we did was the Five Glorious Church Fundamentals, which is so important in the world today. But before we get started, we just want to take a moment and share with you. Ideally, we wanted to go to Washington, D.C. because we had a few invitations, but we really believe God wanted us here. And we were honored and blessed to be able to speak at a Heartland Family Church in Irving with Pastor Gary and Sabrina Meek. And it was, we absolutely loved it. God just spoke and we believe He ministered to the people in a very powerful way. The name of our message was called The Destiny of a Nation. That's right. And it was about America. So we kind of weaved in both the history and the prophetic, and when God is kind of speaking to the church right now as well.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2But anyway, we just wanted to share a little bit of that with you.
Speaker 1Yes.
This Week's Journey & Scriptures
Speaker 1Well, as Cindy mentioned, last time we shared about the five glorious church fundamentals. This time we start on chapter five as we're walking through a book, Rise of the Glorious Church. And this chapter five is called The High Call to Rise Up Glorious. And this is all about a life-changing journey that will change you forever. You know, in Philippians 3.14, Paul says, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward, or you could say, high call of God in Christ Jesus.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Right? And then also Ephesians 5.25-27 says that Christ is returning for a glorious church. See, there's a high call to become glorious and really walk in the fullness of his divine nature, power, and glory.
Speaker 2Amen. And you see in that scripture, Ephesians 5.25, that he might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of the word. That's right. And that's what we see in this journey of the glorious pride. And so but also I just want to share this on the press. We realize Paul, he was, he understood the press. Some of you right now, you may be in that press. And when you are moving forward and you are taking territory, there is a press, there is some resistance there, but you keep pressing through because you have God with you and going before you, which is amazing.
Speaker 1Amen.
Can You Hear It?
Speaker 1So right now there's a call going on. Can you hear it?
Speaker 2Amen. A high call, really, from the throne of God. And it is to awaken his church, to wake her up, to call her to rise up and to prepare the way for the glory of the Lord to be revealed. But first, that's in our lives and then worldwide, because it's Christ in us, which we have been saying, the hope of glory. And for many of you, we see the world seems to be spinning out of control on many levels, but God is preparing a people who are not going to settle. That's right. They're not going to settle for common Christianity, but they want more. God is preparing to take the church to a whole new level. Yes. And those are answering the call to be conformed into the glorious image of His Son, Jesus Christ. And they will walk in a higher dimension and demonstrate his kingdom, his power, his glory to a dying world. It is time for the glorious church to rise.
Speaker 1Amen. That's right. And you know, some
Are We "Glorious" Yet? The Reality Check
Speaker 1people may say, well, we're already holy and glorious by Jesus' blood and God's grace, right? Well, yes, we're born again. We're made new and holy and glorious spiritually. Yes. That's a spiritual reality. However, our soul, our nature, our character, our mind, a body still needs to be renewed and made glorious because it's definitely not, right? There's still a lot of the old man hanging around that needs to be made new. See, this is God's desire for us, for the internal, glorious reality of Christ in us to become the external, glorious reality of Christ through us, right? Amen. Becoming glorious is really an outward manifestation of an internal reality where we can truly say, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. Yes. Galatians 2.20.
Speaker 2Yes, and amen.
Speaker 1That's right. And so when we look at the church right now, she doesn't look very glorious.
Speaker 2So we see from what Darrel was saying that we have been made glorious when we're born again. That's glorious internally. But we ask and we look at the landscape of the church. We need to ask the question: are we glorious yet? It doesn't look like it. But Ephesians 5.27, let's just look at this, declares that Christ is returning for a glorious church. But the Greek word used here for glorious is indoxos. And it means, just think of this, the word glorious. It means indoxos, it means splendid, wonderful, radiant, honored, noble, highly esteemed by God, and of great renown. And we have to ask ourselves does this description sound like the church that we are seeing today? Are we glorious yet? If not, why? And this all has to do with that internal glory of Christ becoming an external reality. That's right.
Speaker 1In fact, when you looked at that description, who fits that description perfectly?
Speaker 2That is Christ.
Speaker 1Christ Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2He is our role model.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2That's right.
Speaker 1So we were created to radiate God's glory and express the very nature and character of Christ.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Right? And that's why there's a high call to rise up glorious. And we're going to explore what that looks like here in this episode.
Speaker 2Amen.
The “High Call” Into Levels of Glory!
Speaker 2So we see this high call, which is into glory, to rise up higher. And we need to understand there are levels of maturity and glory in Christ if we will answer the high call to take the journey of the glorious bride and go deeper in him. As scripture says, we go from faith to faith and from glory to glory. So that is the direction God is wanting us to go. And we reference back to Paul who said, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward high calling of God in Christ Jesus. That's right. Because that's what God wants to reveal in the earth. It's in us and through us.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Amen. And see, Cindy just mentioned something there, a phrase, journey of the glorious bride. That's what we actually call this journey. It's the journey of the glorious bride. He's coming back for a glorious bride, and there's a journey, a process to get there for that, right? Amen.
The Gospel of Salvation vs the Gospel of Kingdom
Speaker 1To really understand the need for this journey, we must have a fundamental paradigm shift by understanding the key difference between the gospel of salvation versus the gospel of the kingdom. And here's the main difference in a nutshell. Listen to this the gospel of salvation is get saved, go to heaven. The gospel of the kingdom is get saved, bring heaven to earth. See that difference? Gospel of salvation, get saved, go to heaven. The gospel of the kingdom, get saved, and bring heaven to earth. First in us internally, and then through us externally. Amen. Just like we've been talking about. There's
Key Truth 1 About Salvation
Speaker 1two keys to better understand this gospel of the kingdom truth regarding salvation. Key truth one is salvation is the gate, not the goal.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Jesus said, I'm the gate, I'm the door, the entryway into the kingdom of heaven. As amazing and necessary as salvation is, it's only the first step of really a glorious journey in Christ.
Speaker 2Amen. And you know, the reason why we see the landscape of the church not looking glorious is because they have, they've come into the gate, but they stop right there.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2They don't move on. And this may sound like, oh, well, this is just discipleship, but it is with purpose. God has a reason. He is wanting to reveal his glory throughout the nations of the earth. He's wanting salvation, and he wants to bring multitudes into the kingdom.
Speaker 1That's right. So we see salvation's only the first step of a glorious journey God has destined us all for.
Speaker 2Amen.
Key Truth 2 About Heaven
Speaker 1And then key truth, too, is this Christ didn't come just to get you into heaven, he came to get heaven into you.
Speaker 2And that's so good. I love that. You know, just like Jesus prayed, he said, Father, your kingdom come, your will be done. On where? On earth as it is in heaven. And we need to understand that was Jesus' perfect, pure prayer to the Father.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And so that is our prayer.
Speaker 1That's right. So you see, the goal is not to get just people into heaven, the goal is to have a heavenly people. Amen. Purposing Christ on the earth now. Amen. And really, that's Satan's worst nightmare. Oh, yes, it is. Christ-like sons of God multiplied across the face of the earth. Can you imagine?
Speaker 2It's like I can just hear him. Oh no.
Speaker 1They've come into the reality. They know who they are. Oh no, they're becoming like Christ. They're all over the place.
Speaker 2That's why him dying on the cross and the sacrifice he's made, he made.
Speaker 1That's
Our Highest Call and Divine Destiny
Speaker 1so see our highest call, just as we shared last episode in Fundamental Three, our highest call is to know Christ, be conformed to Christ, and then manifest Christ.
Speaker 2Amen. Amen.
Speaker 1Know Christ, be conformed to Christ, manifest Christ.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1We need to really understand that we need to grow and fully mature to become Christ-like. Otherwise, we will not fully walk in our divine destiny.
Speaker 2Amen. So this is the true abundant life Christ came to give us. It's actually the glorious life. And you know, and I want to say this and not to come against anything of the message of the your best life. But some people have seen that best life is just accumulating things, you know, having the best house, the best car, the best that. But God is wanting his church to go way beyond that and to walk the real abundant life, which is the glorious life that is only found in Christ, because he said, I am the light of the world. In me there is no darkness. And so it is in him that he wants us to live and move and have our being. And that is where, that is where the glory is.
Speaker 1That's right. That's right.
Most Miss This!
Speaker 1And it's worth repeating. See, most of the church has been so focused on what God did for us, they have missed what God has destined for us. Yes. The glorious life in Christ.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1It's time for that to change. Sadly, much teaching is focused on how to be blessed and have a better self-life, causing many to actually miss out on experiencing the greatest life of all, the glorious life in Christ.
Speaker 2You know, as a result, it's it's amazing because we see many that are remaining in spiritual diapers and miss out on what God has for them. And that's why we see a lot of carnal Christians acting just like the world, living just like the world, dressing, talking just like the world, because they're in, they have not grown. They're not maturing, they've not taken this glorious journey of the bride. And that is being sanctified, as you're going to share here. That's right.
Time to Grow Up Glorious In Christ!
Speaker 1You know, Hebrews 6 exhorts God's people to grow up and move on from the elementary principles of Christ and to grow up into maturity in Christ.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1See, we need to get out of kindergarten Christianity and grow up into spiritual adulthood.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Because here's the key truth: true spiritual maturity is not how many services you've gone to, how much of the Bible you know, or how many scriptures you can memorize. True spiritual maturity is measured by how much of Christ is formed in you.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Formed in us.
Speaker 2That's powerful.
Speaker 1It's so true. And see, the true gospel is not self-serving, the true gospel is transformational.
Speaker 2And I think that is a message that needs to just loud and clear across the church is the true gospel of Jesus Christ is not self-serving, it is transformational.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And Jesus came not to be served, he came to serve.
Speaker 1That's right. It's not about fire insurance, it's about growing up into the fire and glory of Christ.
Speaker 2Amen. Yes, yes.
A Glorious Life Transformation Process - 3 Stages
Speaker 1And so we're going to take a look at this glorious life-transforming process from a very high-level 30,000-foot view. So when we look at this, after salvation, many ask, okay, I'm saved. What do I do next? What's next? Again, salvation is the first step into a glorious kingdom adventure, a journey God has waiting for us.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1And really, if you look at it from a biblical standpoint, there are three stages, three levels of our salvation. There's the first initially being born again, spiritually born, right? Yes. That's justification.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1And then there's these to be a salvation of our minds, our soul, our mind, our will, our emotions, our character. That's called sanctification. Amen. And then when Christ returns, our whole body and being is going to be fully saved and made into our glorious body, right? That's called glorification.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1We can look at this another way. Justification, we are saved spiritually. Sanctification, we are being saved, our soul and mind renewed and transformed. Then glorification, we will be completely saved, spirit, soul, and body.
Speaker 2Yes. And we see that in scripture. That's right.
Speaker 1That final scripture there. Yes. See, God never intended us to be saved and stay in spiritual diapers or infants or toddlers. That's right. Struggling to walk in our old carnal nature. See, he originally created us in his likeness and image, and that's how he wants us to look like. Amen. That's how he wants us to act.
Speaker 2Yep. Amen. Yes. So after five years of serving the Lord, if you are going through this process, you should not still be struggling with some of the same sins that you had when you first came to Christ. Because if you are being washed and cleansed by the Word, the Word of God is going to challenge you. It's going to wash you. It's going to cleanse you. And so that's what's so powerful about the Word.
Speaker 1That's right. Because see, there's there's
Justification vs Sanctification
Speaker 1an important difference. A lot of people I hear talking about justification, which is so important, but there's a difference between justification and sanctification. Yes. Justification occurs instantly. We're saved and born again. Yes. Sanctification is a process over time.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1Justification frees us from the penalty of sin.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Sanctification can free us from the power of sin. Amen. Big difference. Of course, it's a process. It doesn't happen all at once. But as we press in and go through this journey, the power of sin becomes less and less.
Speaker 2That's right.
Speaker 1And we become more like Christ and more like his divine nature. Amen. Partakers of his divine nature. That's right. As it talks about in 2 Peter 1, and that we become like him in every way, and we rise up gloriously.
Speaker 2Amen. And as we draw close to him, as we stay close to him and in his word, we can't help but being like him. It's like the people you hang out with the most. You start almost emulating them, being like them. You start setting your standards kind of the way all the people you're hanging out with. Yes. And so that's the way it is. And that's why we need to be with Christ. And our time with him is so important. And why Satan works so hard to distract us and keep us from that.
The “Princess Diaries” Example
Speaker 1And so we see this whole process. It really, a kind of an example of this is the Princess Diaries movie, right?
Speaker 2Yes, it's such a great movie. It's really a clean one. And one I would recommend to show to your daughters, your granddaughters, because it really walks you through the process. It's so amazing when you think about the movie and the process and the process God walks us through. And I'm just going to read some of this here. And if you have watched the movie, you'll understand this. It's about an ordinary girl who suddenly discovers she's actually a princess. In an instant, her position has changed. And that's kind of like when we get born again. But there was a problem. She didn't look like a princess, she didn't act like a princess, and she certainly wasn't ready to rule like a princess. So what did she have to do? She had to go through a transformation process. It's actually quite funny to watch in the movie some of the things. But believe it or not, that's a lot like our journey with God. When we're born again, we become part of God's royal family. But that's just the beginning of the journey. God has an incredible transformation process designed to take us deeper, to transform us into the image of Christ, and to prepare us to rightly represent his kingdom. Remember, this princess in the movie here was preparing to rule and to reign. And so she had to go through this process. And it was, it wasn't always easy. That's right.
Speaker 1That's right. And
Key Truth 3 & Two Key Ingredients to Grow in Christ
Speaker 1that see, that process is the spiritual growth. Yes. And the key truth of this is spiritual growth is a process requiring our cooperation.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1She had to cooperate to learn and to be trained to become a princess. That's right. See, the transformation process requires us to surrender and cooperate with the Holy Spirit. So really we see that faith and grace work together as key ingredients in this whole glorious transformation process. Think about it this way: just as Peter made the effort to step out of the boat in faith to walk on water, then God's grace empowered him to walk supernaturally on the water. God added the super to his natural.
Speaker 2It's amazing because God's grace was on Peter as long as he kept his eyes on Christ. But when he took him off of Christ and put him on the storm, that's when that grace did.
Speaker 1See, what we focus on is huge. Yeah. Focusing on Christ. He's our goal.
Speaker 2He's our life, our light source, our power, love, and light source. He's everything.
Speaker 1Let's remember it's the high call to rise up glorious in Christ. Amen. In Christ. Amen. So while salvation is not earned, we're saved by grace. Spiritual growth, becoming glorious, requires our cooperative effort, empowered by grace. We are saved by grace, then our spiritual growth can be empowered by his grace. Amen. If we are willing and cooperating. Amen. So
Key Truth 4 to Walk in Greater Power & Glory
Speaker 1a key truth is this the greater we surrender to the process, the journey, the greater the measure of Christ can be formed in us.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Right? The level of power and glory we're able to walk in and release is in direct proportion to the degree of yieldingness and willingness to cooperate with him in the process.
Speaker 2And you know, for those of you that are in church, there are many great discipleship programs that your church offers. But a lot of people are like, oh, I'm good. I'm just going to go Sunday morning. And we need to understand this Sunday morning service is often for a broad group of Christians that are all at a different place in their journey. And typically those messages are for to motivate us, to draw near to God. And there's great teaching. But if you really want to go deeper, you have to submit to that process and get in a discipleship course, especially when you first get saved, immediately you should get into a new believers discipleship course. So I just want to take a moment to say this that you listening, that all of us, we have to be intentional about this transformation process. Because when we become conformed into the image of Christ, when we go through this process and make that decision, it's going to make us, you're going to become a better leader, a better father or mother, a better spouse, husband or wife, a better employer and employee, a better steward. And see, a lot of times we try to fix all these things on the outside. I want to be better at this and better at that, even better at Maybe you're dealing with your physical health and things like that. But if we will focus first, seek first, right? The kingdom of God, if we will focus first on being conformed to the image of Christ and this process of sanctification, this process of discipleship, all of these other things, kind of like dominoes. Because when Christ is formed in us and working in us and through us, it's going to change how we do everything. And you're going to see the patience that you need as a father, the love you need, and all of the things that you need, the strength you need, the grace you need, the power, the wisdom, all of those things. It all begins with Him.
Speaker 1Amen. That's so good. And like we were talking about, the yieldness and the cooperation, Jesus again, is our greatest example. He fully surrendered to the Father and said, Lord, not my will, but you will be done. And what was the result of that?
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1God greatly lifted him up. He rose up glorious. Yes, fulfilled.
Speaker 2He fulfilled his God-given destiny. That's right. He fulfilled all that he was called to do. He said, It is finished.
Speaker 1That's right. And really, there's a three-stage process to this journey to mature and to become glorious in Christ. Now let's take a closer look at what this life-transforming journey looks like. The journey we called Journey of the Glorious Bride. And we'll explore what this glorious journey looks like right after this quick
Break Invitation
Speaker 1break. Decades ago, God began shaping within Darrel and Cindy a grand vision, revealing his end-time plans and blueprints for what he's about to do in his church and in the nations. And now the time has come to share these from their new book, Rise of the Glorious Church. To learn more about all this, we invite you to watch our engaging and prophetic trailers and inspiring shorts on our new Shekinah Today YouTube channel. Then subscribe, share, and see more details on our website at shekinatoday.org.
The Life-Transforming Journey of the Glorious Life
Speaker 1All right, now we're beginning to look at more details of this journey of the glorious bride. It's really a step-by-step process of growing from faith to faith, glory to glory, until we come into complete conformity to the glorious image of Christ.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1In essence, this life-changing journey is to know Christ, conform to Christ, and then manifest Christ.
Speaker 2Amen. You know, it's amazing because I look back, I've been serving the Lord since the early mid-80s. And I've seen over the last decades just transformation in my own life of how I see things, of things God has dealt with me with because of his word. Powerful. His word is alive, it's active, it's powerful, it's sharper than any two-edged sword. But we cannot be transformed unless we're in that word.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2Just think of that. Because it cuts away, it separates what is of the flesh and what is of the spirit. And it's powerful, powerful in its working.
Speaker 1That's right.
The Ancient Blueprint & Pathway
Speaker 1So we're just going to give you a glimpse of the journey of the glorious bride. This journey is actually based on an ancient blueprint God revealed to Moses in the building of the tabernacle. And understanding the tabernacle, a lot of people think, well, tabernacle's Old Testament. But listen, there's so many patterns and parallels in the Old Testament and symbolism that's rich and amazing. And the tabernacle of Moses is one of those.
Speaker 2Well, that's what is amazing, is God's word is always living, it never dies.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And so those things that are laid out there on multiple levels, they're still relevant today and can be applied in many ways.
Speaker 1That's right. The tabernacle of Moses, when you look at this many levels and layers of symbolism on it. Of course, the most obvious one is Christ's work on the cross. The first object wasn't about an altar, right? A sacrifice. And then that went all the way to the Ark of the Covenant in the holy most holy place where the blood was sprinkled. So it showed Christ's work on the cross to the Ark as the Lamb of God.
Speaker 2Amen. We've also seen other people use the tabernacle as like a prayer path.
Speaker 1That's right. Prayer path. Or it it shows all kinds of levels. We can't go into them all today. And our book actually lists some of those. Yes. But this journey of the glorious bride really came during a time of meditating on God's word and actually studying the tabernacle of Moses as a prayer pattern. Then one day I finally saw it. It just like all the main areas and objects and the patterns and the process all stood out to me as wow. These are all part of actually a journey to grow and to form into the fullness of Christ. That's right.
Speaker 2Glory every step from glory to glory.
Speaker 1That's right. And so this pathway, and see, really, God has predestined us to be conformed to the glorious image of
Three Stages of Our Spiritual Journey
Speaker 1Christ. And this pathway is symbolized by the tabernacle of Moses and consists of the three main areas and levels of that tabernacle. Amen. So let's look at this briefly. And again, we're not going to go into depth. Our book goes into more detail in this, into the objects. Each area of the tabernacle of Moses represents three stages of the overall glorious transformation process that we covered: justification, sanctification, and glorification. Look at it this way. In the tabernacle of Moses, there was an outer court, there was an inner court, and then there was a most holy place where the Ark of the Covenant was, right? There were three levels, three stages there. We see it this way: the outer court is a picture of justification and our surrender to a new life in Christ. Amen. And about being cleansed and purified and get ready for the next step, next stages, which is the holy place. This is a picture of sanctification. We call God's transformation chamber. I like that. There's so much rich depth in there. We cannot go into today, but we start to go into it in our book a little bit. You'll see more in that when you get that. The most holy place, which the third stage, the third level, it's a picture of glorification and the fullness of Christ. So these three areas are really a picture of spiritual growth that we can go from level to level, from glory to glory.
Speaker 2Just imagine if the body of Christ, the church of Jesus Christ across the nations of the earth and just in America, and we come to that place of being conformed into the image of Christ, truly mature, sons and daughters of God, as scripture clearly lays out. Imagine what our nation would look like. Imagine what our families would look like. Imagine what we can actually accomplish when the fullness of Christ is operating in us and through us.
Speaker 1Amen. Another
Three Levels of Spiritual Growth & Transformation
Speaker 1way to see these three levels of the tabernacle of Moses, we enter as believers in the outer court. We grow as disciples in the inner court, and we mature into the glorious bride, the fullness of Christ represented by the most holy place.
Speaker 2Amen. And that's where I want to be. In the most holy place.
Speaker 1The awesome See, here's the key: the deeper you go, the more you grow.
Speaker 2Yes, and amen.
Speaker 1Let that sink in. The deeper you go into the process, in as you obey and yield and cooperate and walk through from believer to disciple to becoming a glorious bride.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1It changes everything.
Speaker 2Yes. And you know, in our book, there are so many scriptures, and that's what I love throughout as you go through this chapter and all the chapters, there are going to be a lot of scriptures that are going to be shared and laid out. So you can study this for yourself and see what did Paul say about all this in the epistles and what what do we see that Christ said? I mean, there's so many scriptures.
Speaker 1There is. In fact, a major thing, like we said last time, in the New Testament is being conformed to the image of Christ, becoming Christ-like. Amen. As in 2 Peter 1 talks about, we are partakers, we have of his divine nature nature, right? And so we're to walk in that, to operate in that, and then he has to lay out what that looks like a little bit.
Speaker 2Yes. But think of this divine nature. God wants us walking in that at all times. I mean, someone jumps ahead of you while you're driving, and instead of yelling at them and screaming at them, the divine nature of Christ is there. You are it's just it's beautiful.
Speaker 1That's right. Was that for me?
Speaker 2Yeah, that was for you. No, he doesn't yell at people, he just talks to them. I'm like, honey, I don't think they can hear you. He's like, you're going too slow.
Speaker 1Anyway,
Key Truth 5 – You Must Choose
Speaker 1so you see this process as we go deeper in God, the more we grow. Again, we summarize it like this: you enter the kingdom of God by becoming a believer, right? In Christ our Lord. You grow and advance in the kingdom of God by becoming a disciple. How deep you go is up to you. It's your choice. You can remain an out-of-court Christianity, or you can answer the high call to go deeper in God and step into the glorious life He has destined for you.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1That journey of the glorious bride.
Speaker 2Amen. That's where God wants us living when Jesus said, I've come that you would have life and have it to the full. That is the glorious life.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And that's the only place it's going to be found, is in Christ. And so that's where God is taking the church right now. That's right. And that's a really in the discipleship in this process is it's a dying to self.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2It's I take up my cross daily.
Speaker 1That's right. So we see this ancient blueprint, this ancient pathway of the tabernacle of Moses, the growth path for us taking the journey of the glorious bride. Each
Each Step Counts – No Shortcuts
Speaker 1area of the tabernacle reveals a unique treasure, also, that is part of the transformation process that reveals a part of Christ that we have to be conformed to and take on. And there's really seven key steps of this journey. Now, we don't have time, unfortunately, in this episode to go through every object. We outline those actually in our book. But what we really encourage is you to study for yourself the areas and the objects of the tabernacle of Moses and discover for yourself, let the Holy Spirit speak to you and show you how each object, what it represents in Christ and how you are to be transformed into Christ.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1In that area that it highlights.
Speaker 2Amen. That's so good.
Speaker 1That's right. So each step is really a level of growth built upon the previous step. Each step is critical to the life-transforming journey. There's no shortcuts. Each step is an encounter of a revelation of who he is and who you are to be. And each step is to fashion, impart, conform, and transform us into his glorious image.
Speaker 2Amen. Amen.
Will You Take the Journey?
Speaker 1So every believer in Christ is invited to the journey of the glorious bride, but not everyone will take that journey. Why is that? The casual church-going Christian may not embark on the full journey because it demands something from them, right? So true. It demands commitment, diligence, full devotion. It demands something a passionate bride of Christ will gladly do.
Speaker 2Amen. So
Many Levels of Glory and Rewards Are Waiting…
Speaker 2true.
Speaker 1See, the kingdom of God has many levels of rewards and glory available to us on this journey and throughout this journey. But don't allow yourself to fall into complacency and settle for less than God's best. God is looking for those who will say, I want more of Him, more of His anointing, more of His presence, more of His power in my life.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1God is saying, Come and follow me into the deep, into greater levels of glory.
Speaker 2Amen. We pray you hear his voice in that. Where he says, Come, follow me into the deep, into greater levels of glory.
Speaker 1That's right. And we're actually reminded of Ezekiel 47, what it talks about this river, right? Yes, flowing from the temple of God, and that there were different levels of that. There was ankle deep, knee deep, and waist deep. You can see that parallel again, the outer court. Outer court is like ankle deep, inner courts, knee deep can get waist deep. And then the most holy places, you're fully immersed, right?
Speaker 2I love that.
Speaker 1How deep do you want to go with God?
Speaker 2That's right.
Speaker 1Do you want to go ankle deep or do you want to be fully immersed in Him?
Speaker 2You know, I have to say that when we just go partway, halfway, it's just like in a marriage. If you're halfway devoted to those 50-50. Yeah, if you're halfway devoted to your marriage, your spouse, your loved one, it's not going to be fun. It's when you fully devote. That's right. When you are all in, that's when you're going to win. And so that's what the discipleship, that's what the process journey of the glorious bride is, is to walk us into those higher places.
Speaker 1That's right. And
Key Difference of Casual Christian vs the Fully Devoted One
Speaker 1see, this is a key difference between the casual Christian and the fully devoted life in Christ. Yes. The casual Christian says, I want to keep my life and have God in it. The fully devoted bride says, I don't just have God in my life, He is my life.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1God is my life. So the casual Christian, I want to have God in my life. The fully devoted one, God is my life.
Speaker 2That's right. And the first one is really about I'm what can God do for me, right?
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And the second one is like, what can I do for God?
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And it's like, I want to be his vessel. I want to be an instrument that he can use to advance his kingdom.
Speaker 1That's right. See, God is my life. That's the glorious life. He wants us to walk in. This is what this journey helps you to walk in the fullness of that. Amen. So it's not simply more of God in our life, it's Christ becoming our life.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1It's as the scripture says, for in him we live and move and have our being. Yes. It's no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me.
Speaker 2You know, and it's so important our perspective because some people look at this and they they think, oh, well, what do I have to give up? What do I have to sacrifice? And what, oh, I'm going to need to take up my cross daily. And it is so the wrong way to look at this. That's right. Because we're basically exchanging filthy rags for glory. And, you know, even at our salvation, you see that. But even in our walk with him, each step we take and the higher levels we go, we're letting go of the flesh, what the flesh wants, what I want, what I demand. And instead, we're exchanging that for the glory of the Lord.
Speaker 1That's right. That's powerful. That's right. So,
Are You On the Right Path?
Speaker 1see, really, the fully devoted life in Christ is the greatest adventure you can live. In fact, if you're bored with the Christian life, something wrong. It's because you're on the wrong path.
Speaker 2That's right.
Speaker 1You're not on the right path. Get on the right path. It's an adventure. Exactly. It's an amazing. And so the path of the journey of the glorious bride is what you want to be on. Amen. See, we need to rise above mediocrity and embrace royalty, the fullness of our position in Christ. And we pray every Christian will have a complete revelation of this and who he is to be in our life.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1And us in him.
Speaker 2You know, when I think about the prince's diaries going back to that, I think of, you know, when she is being groomed and prepared for her position, it's amazing because she's not thinking about, oh, what's all in this for me? What's all in this for me? No, she's thinking about I'm being prepared, you know, to advance and serve the kingdom of God and the king. And so that has to be our mindset. It's not, well, what's in this for me? I mean, there is a lot in it, if I can tell you for you, but our mindset needs to be we're there for the kingdom. That's right. The king and the kingdom.
What The Lord Said to Us About the Path & the Rewards
Speaker 1Years ago, as it was in prayers, actually a couple decades ago now, I remember we were praying. I remember this because we were thinking about, you know, there's a lot of sacrifice involved and doing what we need to do and to walk where we want to walk in the fullness of God. The Lord spoke to us really clearly and said, You may think of what you have to give up to walk in this life, this path. But the Lord said, Oh, but the rewards are beyond anything you can imagine.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Wow. Isn't that amazing?
Speaker 2Well, yeah, because the flesh it does. It thinks, oh no, what am I gonna have to give up?
Speaker 1I'm crucified with Christ. I don't like this. But listen, when we do that, when we start walking this glorious path, the journey of the glorious bride, the rewards beyond anything you can imagine. Doesn't mean it's gonna be easy. There is sacrifice involved, but God always rewards far above what we have sacrificed.
Speaker 2And his grace is there.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2When we choose to take these steps and we choose to move forward, his grace is gonna be there. That's right. And you know, I think of the scripture it said unless a seed goes into the ground and die, it's not gonna multiply. It's not gonna bear fruit.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And so that's why the that dying daily is important. Dying doesn't sound like a wonderful thing, but it is can be glorious when it is in Christ.
Speaker 1That's right.
Review & the Glorious Goal
Speaker 1So as we close today, God will have a people that would go beyond common Christianity and walk in their divine destiny.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1God will have a people who hunger to go beyond the best life this world can offer right now onto the next level of the glorious life in Christ Jesus, right?
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1Jesus wants a fully devoted bride overflowing with him, his love, his nature, his power, and walking in his glory and demonstrating the kingdom of heaven on earth that will help bring multitudes of souls into the kingdom. That's the goal of our end-time rescue mission, right? That's right. That's right.
Speaker 2Think of that Revelations 19 7. It says the glorious bride has made herself ready. That's right. And that's what we want to ask you. Are you making yourself ready? Yes, ready for his return, for his glorious return, but are you making yourself ready to reveal the glory of Christ in the earth?
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And that's that's what he's doing in this church.
Speaker 1That's right.
Final Question, Exhortation & Warning
Speaker 1So the pathway is there, the journey's waiting, the high call is going forth to take the journey of the glorious pride.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1The only question is will you answer that high call to take the journey and rise up gloriously?
Speaker 2Amen. You know, I just want to say this that, you know, some of you listening, you may be new in the Lord, you may be very seasoned in the Lord. But I want to caution you, especially those seasoned in the Lord that have known the Lord, never settle just where you're at. There is always deeper you go, the more you grow. That's right. Until Christ returns, He wants us continuing to go from glory to glory, from faith to faith, and from glory to glory. Don't stop, because that's when a lot of times you see Christians and even churches start becoming very religious because they're like, oh, I know it all, I know the word, I know this. Oh, yeah, I've seen it all, I've seen the Pentecost, the Spirit poured out. And when you get like that, it is a dangerous place because often you become uh critical, cynical, and you just stop and you quit bearing fruit. God wants you evergreen, He wants you to go long and strong, He wants you to stay green and fruitful and bearing fruit, even in your old age. So don't settle. Wherever you're at, don't settle. And don't think I, because once you do and you think you know it all, I don't, no one can teach me anything, you're in the dangerous place.
Speaker 1That's right.
Next Episode Preview
Speaker 1All right, so that concludes our episode today. Yes. And that concludes actually part two of the book.
Speaker 2Amen.
Speaker 1That was the living glorious church. Yes. The high call for the church to rise up glorious all begins on a personal level.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1Which we've covered these past three episodes. Now we're going to begin shifting to the corporate level.
Speaker 2Oh, that's exciting.
Speaker 1From the personal level to the corporate level to focus on the question: how do we rise up glorious corporately?
Speaker 2Yes, as the church.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2And the local churches, each church locally. I'm so excited about this part too, because this is for pastors, for leaders, for you know, all of us uh need to see this. And where God's taking the church is no longer going to be just local churches as usual, just going through the same same old.
Speaker 1That's right. So, next episode we begin covering what does the end-time glorious church look like corporately and how do we get there.
Speaker 2And I think of that statement it's time to break the mold, let my plans unfold.
Speaker 1That's right.
Speaker 2I talk about a religious mode, not scriptural mode.
Speaker 1That's right. And you'll see a glimpse of that if you go back and look at our original book trailer, it actually gives you a glimpse of that.
Speaker 2That's right.
Speaker 1And it talks about that. So yeah, it's powerful.
Speaker 2Amen.
